This is an excellent opportunity to step into a role with a major international mining company.
Large geology department, open pit coal mine based in the Bowen Basin on an impressive salary and fantastic benefits package.
You will report to the Senior Geologist and will be part of a small team of geotechnical personnel providing geological support across the mine operations.
As part of your day to day duties and responsibilities you will be involved with:
- Promotion of site safety, environmental and continuous improvement activities
- Some coordination and management of daily geological activities
- Planning, scheduling and management of short and medium geological projects
- Supervision of exploration activities as required
- Geological interpretation, modelling and resource / reserve compilation
- Provision of technical assistance and training to all geology personnel
- Establishment of clearly defined geological systems and standard operating procedures
- A high level of effective interaction with contractors, staff and supervisors
Salaries will be commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $140,000 - $155,000 + bonuses + Housing assistance. Salaries outside this range will be considered for people with exceptional skills.
