Senior Mining Engineer required for growing Australian based producer, working FIFO on a family friendly 8/6 roster your job role will involve the following
Working closely with the Mine Manager, the key purpose of this job is to co-ordinate all aspects of mine design for production stoping operations and to carry out project work and monthly scheduling.
Your day to day activities will include:
- Open Pit production activities including drill & blast designs, development of detailed production scheduling and short to medium term planning
- Strong commitment to safe working practices and procedures
- Various other projects as required
- Resolve technical problems
- Compliance with the Mines Safety and Inspections Act and Regulations.
The Person
- A Bachelor of engineering (Mining) or Equivalent
- 5 years + relevant experience
- Experience in short and medium term mine planning
- Strong computer literacy - preferably Surpac.
- Familiar with Open Pit Risk Assessment
- Safety Management and Investigative Processes within a hard rock open pit mining environment.
